Proactive Work Health is an occupational health company providing onsite workplace health services to the Coromandel Peninsula, Hauraki & Greater North Island locations. We offer a comprehensive range of services including pre employment & exit medicals, health monitoring, drug & alcohol testing, health checks, workstation assessments & workplace vaccinations.
We work with business owners and their workers to promote wellness, and help prevent & manage work related health issues and risks. It is our vision to improve health & safety outcomes for your people and business.
Our services can be delivered on-site at your workplace, which means less downtime and interruptions. Or alternately our Whitianga and Thames based clinic. We use specialist high quality equipment for all assessments and our professional staff are fully trained and accredited.
Locations
We are based in Whitianga and cover the whole Coromandel Peninsula, Hauraki District, and greater North Island locations. Our services can be delivered on-site at your workplace, or at on of our satellite clinics.
Our team
Claire Norriss - Director/ Occupational Health Nurse
Registered Nurse that has specialised in occupational health. I graduated with a Bachelor of Health Science – Nursing at AUT in 2007 and went on to work in various settings such as paediatrics, surgical, and general practice before discovering my passion -occupational health.
Since then I have worked overseas as a nurse, emergency medic & injury management advisor in occupational health settings, mine sites, large-scale offshore oil & gas construction projects, and onshore LNG projects. I have also worked as a medical advisor in workers compensation for a global insurance company.
I have completed extensive training in the health & safety sector during this time including construction safety, high risk work site safety, operating as part of an emergency control organisation, hazard and risk management & a certificate in occupational health & safety.
I am registered with the NZNC (NZ Nursing Council) and a full member of the NZOHNA (NZ Occupational Health Nurses Association).
