Health Monitoring
Be PROACTIVE in managing health risks in your workplace
The health of your workers’ is just as important as the health of your business. As a business owner, you have a duty to prevent harm to your workers’ health. Every year, 750-900 people die in New Zealand from work-related disease and there are an estimated 5000-6000 hospitalisations because of the health risks associated with their work.
Health monitoring is a way to check if worker health is being harmed from exposure to hazards, and aims to detect early signs of ill-health or disease. It is usually carried out annually and the Health and Safety at Work (General Risk and Workplace Management) Regulations 2016 provides detailed information on business requirements.
Health monitoring programmes generally include a mini health check, audiometry & spirometry. But can be tailored to suit your workplace requirements.
